The recent teacher’s strike in Chicago initiated a great deal of discourse on the topic of teacher evaluation. The topic is an important one for all educators to understand and be able to discuss in an informed fashion. Responding to the need to equip educators with reliable, research-based information on critical topics, the KDP Public Policy Committee launched the first in a series of position papers. KDP Reasoned VOICE is written specifically for educators and stakeholders to reference when advocating an educational issue. Serving educators for more than 100 years, KDP strives to be a voice of reason and to advance the understanding of what is best practice in the teaching profession.
