One of the perks of being a member of the Honor Society in Education is the opportunity to wear your honor regalia at graduation. That’s why each year we ask our graduating members to share their proudest moments with us by participating in our #KDPGrad with pride photo contest!
Dozens of KDP members shared their selfies, candids, and professional portraits with us this year, and KDP staff had a difficult time choosing our favorites. We finally narrowed them down to one winner and two runners-up. And here they are!
This year’s #KDPGrad photo contest winner is Felicia Piggue-Johnson of the Alpha Delta Sigma Chapter. Felicia received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Huston-Tillotson University. We loved the photo of her shaking the university president’s hand. We think the KDP cords and stole are just as prestigious as the president’s accouterments!
Two other photos also stood out so we chose to announce two “Runners Up”.
Emily Sweeney took an artistic direction for her #KDPGrad submission. Don’t be surprised if you see Emily’s picture again, especially when we want to show off our graduation regalia! Emily is a member of the Alpha Epsilon Rho Chapter at Indian River State College.
Jack Chesebro doubled up on his #KDPGrad photo, by including Epsilon Sigma Chapter Counselor Dr. Gwen Frank. Jack graduated from SUNY-Oneonta with a degree in childhood education and French. When we see both a professor and a student proudly wearing their KDP cords, it’s hard to look away.
Thank you to all our submissions. A new photo contest will be launched at the end of the summer, #KDPmyclassroom. We want to see your classroom set up for the first day of school.
